An overview of the series in general. Maybe if you had bothered to watch it we may have found out how it all ended. But as with every show that I like it was canceled.
01/11/08: Space Above and Beyond: The Angriest Angel
Tyrus Cassius McQueen, possibly the coolest name ever. Survivor of the decimated but legendary Angry Angel squadron. He dawns his flight suit once again to stop a crack alien pilot who has been killing off his people one by one.
saw this movie not expecting to like it that much, and while it is not the best movie ever, I must say that I fell in love with Annie, who is somewhere in between protagonist and antagonist. Whichever, she was remarkably strong willed, and she made the movie for me.
Possibly my most generic song choice, and possibly my angriest most action packed video. But its not a exaggeration when it comes to Connor. Someone who is known as "The Destroyer" while in a hell dimension has got to tell you something.
These shows were my versions of soap operas. You cared about the characters, you never knew what was gonna happen next, and there were plot twists up the whazoo. No show has filled the void that was left in their absence for me. The only one that has come close was Veronica Mars, and that too has been canceled. I wanted to make a video for the buffyverse for a long time, but I held off in hopes of doing it at least a little justice. If you are a fan of the shows, I hope this video doesnt desecrate them at all for you. The video is basically a blending of the last few episodes of both series, I tried to make them work together as best as I could though in reality the finales of both had nothing to do with each other.
Hot Fuzz, another english comedy, well action comedy? It is a comedy more than an action film but there is a lot of action in the movie, and a lot of it is hilarious. Many scenes in the movie reminded me of the beastie boys sabotage video. So I wen't and used that song for this.
My second LOTR movie. I had started this one but it was oft delayed mainly because I just wasn't feeling it. I wound up making three more videos before I finished this one. I was fairly happy with the results. I am including the original preview I had created for it, so you can download it too if you want.
This video contains a small tribute to each main character in this series. Basically a song which at least at the time of making each one felt to me like it wen't well with said characters flavor.
03/25/07: Star Trek Enterprise "On The Road To Jericho"
Yet another Enterprise video. I like this show if you can't tell. I've made several dark or negative videos about Enterprise, but this one is about what the crew did most, help people.
Here is Trip and T'pols story. This video was not easy to make for several reasons. It focuses entirely on how they began to depend on each other and eventually fell in love, and how it ended.
A Broly video. I had wanted to make a video using a Manowar song for a long time. The results are mixed. The song itself is 28 something minutes long (yeah I know), whilst this video is 4 something minutes long. Something of a rock opera. All footage is from the first Broly movie.
Aragorn is by far my favorite character in The Lord of The Rings. I have been meaning to make a real LOTR video for a while. I cast aside my more ambitious plan of including clips from the entire trilogy to a song from Manowar and focused on The Two Towers. The video opens up with my favorite scene from the movies (heavily edited down). Aragorn always had trouble accepting who he was. And he was not sure that men were really capable of taking over middle earth. This video is basically about Aragorn starting to believe in men and himself.
Another Star Trek Video. This one is based on the mirror universe. Where everyone has a doppleganger who is basically the exact opposite of you. This video loosely follows the "In a Mirror Darkly" two parter from Enterprise. It does not follow the actual plot but more rather the spirit. I was a little proud of myself over the klingon portion of this video. I edited together clips from four different episodes that came out to look like one sequence while maintaining that mirror universe bad assery. The movie is just about the dark side of the milky way.
This video is based off the movie King Arthur. It features one of my clever in my own mind titles. I took it from the battle hymn of the republic. While the movie itself has a theme of how all men should be free, though the title is a little misleading. I was not too happy with this video. I REALLY liked King Arthur and this video doesnt do it any justice. It is mostly action. I think im gonna make another video based off this movie, one I actually approve of.
Based mostly on the third season of Enterprise. This video portrays some of the morally abiguous actions taken by captain and crew of the starship enterprise. Earth had been attacked leaving seven million dead, the planet itself was going to be destroyed. Certain actions that would have before been unthinkable became necessary. The captain was affected the most, and was never exactly the same again. Do the ends justify the means?
No comment on the title. If your a fan of Final Fantasy odds are you loved advent children. Proof that movies based on video games don't have to suck. This video is about Cloud. This video was very difficult to make, I don't know what went wrong, whether it was something done wrong with ripping but I could not get the music to sync with the video unless I started playing from the beginning. This made it rediculously difficult to time events. I got especially frustrated towards the end. Then after I realized that it was choppy, like it was missing one out of every few frames. The end result was not so bad but it could have been a lot better.
02/12/07: Star Trek Enterprise "Andorians are my Homeboys"
Now finally someone got it right. Everyone knows that aliens are supposed to have bright colored skin and have antennas. Andorians were my favorite race in Enterpise and this is a small tribute to them. It has been said that if Enterprise went on to a fifth season Shran (the main andorian character) would have been part of the main cast. Perhaps thats why the show was canceled, it would not have been able to contain that much awesome.
Well you either loved The Life Aquatic or you hated it. I was one of the lovers. However my love for the movie does not translate well into video form. This video was meant to be funny but did not succeed, at least I don't think it did. It was also my first video using a new program that I had not really figured out yet. As such I had laggy clips. I could not split then at specific frames. But Team Zissou is so awesome that it doesnt matter right, right?
My first actual music video. Was not exactly my music video to begin with. The whole thing was created from clips from another music video. Almost completely rearranged and with a different song of course. The video actually runs longer, uses less footage, and has a different ending. The miracles of editing. My first video. This is a edit of the first comercial for Halo 3. Though I made it more of a music video, it is short. It features one of my favorite songs, and If I didn't suck so bad at editing it might have been on the snazzy side of the force.
